We advise booking your place as soon as you can to avoid disappointment, this event sold out last year and we're expecting demand to be high
Holi is a Hindu festival that celebrates spring, love and new life. It's a colourful festival centred around throwing powder paint and water.
Bollynights (@bollynightsuk) will be providing all the entertainment!
Live DJ and traditional dhol drummers for the duration of the event. A traditional drink will also be given to every student who gets involved.

EVENT START TIME: 1pm
Free transport will be provided and will depart Southend at 10.30am prompt. Please arrive at 10am to allow time to check in and board the coach.
Tickets holders will receive full information regarding transport via email on Friday 26th April.
LOCATION: Sports Field, Colchester campus
COST: Free, but you need to book a ticket for the event which will require you to pay a £5 deposit per person online. This will be returned to you at the Colchester SU receptiion desk upon arrival.* You must bring your student ID.
The bus will arrrive at Colchester campus approx 12pm to allow time to collect your deposit and grab a bite to eat before the event start time.
This event is only for current University of Essex Students and thier families. You will need to book an additional ticket and deposit for each family member.
This is a non-alcoholic event. You cannot bring any alcohol into the event site.
WHAT TO WEAR?
FREE white t-shirts available* at the sign in desk upon arrival in Colchester.
Due to the transport policy you are required to bring a change of clothes, you will not be permitted on the coach return journey wearing dirty clothes.
There will be changing roms available and a location at the check in desk to leave your belongings during the event.
Wearing a white t-shirt makes the colours stand out more. We also encourage you to wear clothing you don't mind getting messy.

Please note: The colour powder is non-toxic made from natural ingredients (corn starch, dyed with food-grade colouring). Ingestion of colour powder will not cause issues. Breathing in small amounts of the powder is unlikely to be harmful. The powder will not cause skin irritation in small quantities and doesn't stain if used correctly.
No glass will be allowed on site. Staff reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone unduly under the influence of alcohol.
* If you do not attend the event, the deposit will not be returned.
