Welcome to the first LGBTQ+ Community Mixer! Come and join us in meeting new people that belong to the community, chat with your LGBTQ+ Student Community Officer, and learn more about the Network and how we can support you! All years are welcome.
You’ll have the opportunity to meet other LGBTQ+ Students who understand the unique challenges you may face. This can help you form a network of peers who can offer advice, support, and companionship.
Interacting with others who share your experiences can boost your confidence and empower you to advocate for your needs and rights within the university. 🤝
Mixers offer a relaxed environment to make friends and build social connections with other students who understand your perspective and challenges.đź’¬
You can connect with others who might be going through similar experiences, whether it’s adjusting to university life, homesickness, or balancing cultural expectations with academic responsibilities.🧑🎓📚
Enjoy free refreshments with coffee, tea and soft drinks and snacks, fun icebreakers designed to help you connect with students from your community, whether you're an international or UK student. 🥤🥨
No official photography will be taken at this event, so don’t worry about looking out for any cameras. Your officers may ask to take photos during the event, but it is up to you to decide!
Hope to see you there!
