Roundtable discussion fundraiser organised by the Women in STEM Society in collaboration with Essex Hidden Disabilities society, Womens Officer, Public Speaking society and more, discussing topics like empowerment, safety, diversity and inclusion. This event will be in STEM 3.1. Grab a cuppa and some snacks to discuss your thoughts, share experiences if you wish to, and listen in a safe environment.
Self-care goodie bags will be avaliable for everybody who buys a ticket to the event. This will contain some vegan goodies, some tea and other treats, so make sure you pop down and get involved with this event.
This is a fundraiser event and will be held in STEM 3.1, with entry prices from £1 and all proceeds going towards the Charity CARA.
CARA (Centre for Action on Rape and Abuse) works with victims and survivors of sexual violence and child sexual abuse, providing independent, specialist support and promoting and representing their rights and needs.
CARA is a registered charity working with adults of all genders, young people and children from across mid and north Essex.
CARA aims to:
- Provide high quality, specialist support to victims and survivors of sexual violence and child sexual abuse
- Increase awareness and understanding of sexual violence and child sexual abuse and the impact they have on victims and survivors, challenging myths and misconceptions
- Promote and represent the rights and needs of victims and survivors, including advocating for a fairer criminal justice system
