Celebrate Diwali With The SU 

Join us for a vibrant and festive evening as we celebrate Diwali, the Festival of Lights! This event is open to all, offering a fantastic opportunity to socialise, enjoy delicious snacks, and immerse yourself in the cultural significance of this joyous occasion.

Highlights of the Evening:

  • Traditional Attire: We invite you to come dressed in your favourite traditional clothing to embrace the spirit of Diwali
  • Delectable Treats: Treat your taste buds to mouthwatering snacks like gulab jamun and refreshing drinks such as Rooh Afza, perfect for keeping you energised throughout the night.
  • Diya Decorating: Get creative with our Diya decorating station, perfect for adding a personal touch to your festive decorations.
  • Bollywood Beats: Dance the night away to the latest Bollywood music, getting everyone in the mood for celebration.
  • Party Games: Participate in fun party games and activities 
  • Student Stories: Throughout the night, some of your fellow students will share insights about the significance of Diwali, the impact it has on them and its rich traditions

Tickets:
Due to high demand, a £5 returnable deposit will be required for your ticket, which will be refunded on the night of the event. Please note, if you do not attend, you will forfeit your deposit.

Important Reminders:

  • Bring your student card to ensure your deposit is returned.
  • Head to the main entrance of the forum when you arrive—staff will be there to direct you to the event! - Last Entry is 8PM
