If you’re looking to make meaningful connections, celebrate African culture, and find a welcoming community on campus, we’d love for you to join the Ubuntu Society.
The concept of Ubuntu means “I am because we are,” and it’s at the heart of what we do.
Our society is all about creating a space where we can support each other, have fun, and feel like we’re part of a family away from home.
Why Join Ubuntu?
The Ubuntu Society is all about community, culture, and fun. We understand that being far from home can be challenging, so we work to create a space where everyone feels included and connected.
As a member, you’ll have access to our events, opportunities to meet others who share your interests, and plenty of ways to learn, laugh, and grow together.
You don’t have to be African to join—anyone who values diversity, respect, and good company is welcome here!
What’s Coming Up?
November has been a busy month for us, and we’d love to see you at some of our upcoming events!
Here’s what’s on the calendar:
Girls' & Boys' Night – Friday, 22nd November
We’re hosting two separate events designed to create fun, relaxed spaces for both girls and guys.
Girls' Night will be a cozy setting where we can just be ourselves, share stories, and unwind.
Boys' Night will feature games, food, and laughs.
Whether you’re looking to make new friends, hang out, or just recharge with people who get you, these nights are for you!
Games Night Part 2 – Friday, 29th November Back by popular demand!
Our first Games Night was a blast, and we’re bringing it back with even more to look forward to.
We’ll have a variety of games for everyone to enjoy, from board games to team challenges. It’s going to be a great mix of chill vibes and friendly competition.
Come along to kick back, have fun, and maybe even take home a prize or two!
Interested? You can join us through the SU website or just come along to one of our events to see what we’re all about.
We’d love to meet you, share stories, and make some amazing memories together!
