Ode to Pebbles
Is this a stray cat that I see?
No way! His bed’s on floor 5B,
And pilgrims go there for to see
Our Pebbles: Essex Campus Cat.
His fur is white with patches black,
Adorning face and tail and back,
And for attention he don’t lack,
Not Pebbles: Essex Campus Cat.
You’ll find his food bowl on Square 4,
Beside the entrance to The Store.
At crack of dawn, beside the door
Waits Pebbles: Essex Campus Cat.
If you should see him on a hike
Then stop and greet the little tyke.
Check out his socials: give a Like
To Pebbles: Essex Campus Cat.
He is a Rebel with a cause,
A Blades man, down to his four paws,
And waiting now for your applause
Is Pebbles: Essex Campus Cat.
He’s sauntering from Square to Square;
Come take a photo, he don’t care!
He’ll cover you with strands of hair
Of Pebbles: Essex Campus Cat.
Of marketing, he knows a thing:
He’s got his face on our keyring!
But wears no collar, eschews bling
Does Pebbles: Essex Campus Cat.
He keeps it real; he’s from the street,
But always takes care that he’s neat.
So show respect if you should meet
Old Pebbles: Essex Campus Cat.
From time to time up goes the shout:
Have you seen Pebbles? Is he out?
That means a vet trip’s come about
For Pebbles: Essex Campus Cat.
So now you know just where it’s at.
I’ve told you all the rites and that,
So stroke his tail, give him a pat.
He’s Pebbles: Essex Campus Cat.
