Ubuntu Society – We’re Here for You đź’™
Ubuntu Family,
As we continue to process the heartbreaking loss of Makyle, Anthony, Eva, and Daljang, we want to remind you that we are a community, and we are here for each other. These were vibrant, talented individuals who touched so many lives, and their absence is deeply felt. đź•Š
In times like these, support and togetherness matter more than ever. If you need someone to talk to or seek guidance, please reach out—whether to us, your friends, or university support services. You are not alone. đź’™
While we continue to take time to reflect and support one another, we also believe in the power of coming together. With that, we invite you to join us for our Spring Cookout on Friday, 21st Feb, where we can reconnect, share good vibes, and celebrate our community. 🍗🔥
Ubuntu means "I am because we are"—let’s continue to uplift and support one another. đź’›
Stay strong, stay connected.
The Ubuntu Society Team
The Ubuntu Society aims to raise awareness about the region's rich cultural diversity and history that is seldom represented accurately. We plan to do this through exploring various art mediums such as dance, film, music & visual art, but also through engaging audiences in discussions regarding current affairs.
If you're looking for a diversely cultured community, look no further! We will provide you with a culturally enriching experience, a platform to network through collaborating with other societies, as well as educating people on issues surrounding East Africa and opportunities to develop yourselves as individuals. As the only regional society, we still aim to be inclusive of all, in the hope of embracing those who embrace Africa!
We look forward to meeting you this academic year.
There will be interesting events over the academic year including:
- Events
- Socials
- Movie nights
- Debates and Talks
- Fundraising Events
- Talent & Fashion shows
so keep up-to-date via our Facebook, WhatsApp, and Instagram pages!
