TEDx University of Essex Society:

Who are we?

In the heart of the University of Essex, a group of passionate individuals united with a common goal: to create a platform that would change lives through 'Ideas Worth Spreading.' Inspired by the transformative power of TED talks, they believed in sharing these ideas with their university and community.

Their journey was not without its challenges. From securing funding to coordinating speakers, they faced hurdles at every turn. However, their determination remained unshaken, and they worked tirelessly to turn their vision into reality.

Word spread and the TEDx Society at the University of Essex was born. With each subsequent workshop, their impact deepened. They became a hub for networking, personal growth, and creative thinking, fostering a sense of belonging and inspiring change-makers.

Today, the TEDx Society at the University of Essex stands strong, guided by its mission to inspire, empower, and unite. It celebrates 'Ideas Worth Spreading,' building bridges between disciplines, fostering personal growth, and leaving an indelible mark on their community.

Their story reminds us that even the smallest spark can ignite a powerful movement, and ideas have the power to change the world. They continue to be a beacon of inspiration, proving that, indeed, ideas are worth spreading.
