Welcome to the University of Essex’s Jewish Society! ✡️

We are a small & inclusive society, open to Jewish students of all backgrounds.

There is plenty to look forward to in JSoc this year including regular Shabbat dinners, celebrating holidays, Jewish arts & crafts, lunches with our chaplains, and more fun events to help you connect to your Judaism on campus. We look forward to welcoming you here!

Jewish Society General Elections 2025

These are the annual elections to decide who will lead your society/club into the next academic year. Please note that all who are elected will assume their roles as of 1st August, unless agreed upon by both the newly elected exec member and the current exec member that they will handover sooner.
