Do you have a passion for music? Are you able to play an instrument? Are you a singer? Or aspire to be any of those? Do you want to meet like-minded musicians and music lovers? Then you have come to right place! 

Our aim is to provide students with the best platform possible, whether that is through holding live performances on and outside our Colchester campus, providing a private music room fully equipped with loads of instruments, and socials where members can meet people with same tastes to talk about everything music and life related.

As a member of our society, you will have access to the quickest updates about music events on campus, be able to perform at said events, stay tuned to music related news in the local area, receive special perks and society offers, and have access to our own music room from Square 4 on campus.

The music room will constantly receive updates and new equipment throughout the year, so keep your eyes out for any news on our socials or chats!

Our Events: 

• SU Bar and Top Bar Socials: Where music society members gather for a social night out to talk about music and life in general. Great for meeting new people with musical interests of all sorts. Also free entry!
• Open Mic Nights: As the name suggests, turn up and grasp the chance of performing on the spot with other musicians! These are usually held in the bars on campus.
• Bar Takeovers: We occasionally take over bars around Colchester to perform in to general audience, such as CODA. This is a perfect oppurtunity to put your name out there, and enoy some off campus fun!
• End of year festivals on campus: A large outdoors performance on the Squares!

Membership: £10 (Access to performing in events + your say on what happens in the society + access to our Society's Music Room)
