Why are you applying for this role?
I am running for Student Union President because I am enthusiastic about supporting students, achieving significant change, and creating a more engaging school environment. With great leadership, strategic thinking, and communication abilities, I am able to effectively advocate for student needs and accomplish impactful projects. My experience balancing studies, employment, and extracurricular activities has improved my resilience, problem-solving skills, and teamwork—all of which are essential for this position. I am prepared to lead, inspire, and make a lasting difference.
What skills and experience would you bring to the role?
As a student balancing academics, work, and leadership ambitions, I developed effective time-management skills, organisation, and resilience. My education in quantitative economics and politics helped develop my analytical thinking and decision-making talents, while my business experience has improved my communication and problem-solving skills. I am confident leading discussions, making strategic decisions, and expressing varied student voices. My enthusiasm for advocacy and constructive change, along with my expertise, creativity, and results-oriented approach, will increase the Student Union's effectiveness.
